Wild + Free Family Camp

August 23-25, 2019 | Trail West Lodge | Buena Vista, CO

Calling all adventurous families!

We’re gathering at Trail West Lodge in breathtaking Buena Vista, Colorado on August 23-25, 2019 for Wild + Free Family Camp.

We've reserved the entire property for Wild + Free to experience a fun-filled, unforgettable weekend together in the Rocky Mountains.

Family camp is designed to strengthen the relationships in your own family, introduce you to new friends, and give your children an amazing gift.

We’ll zip-line through the Aspen Grove, test our limits on the ropes course, and ride ponies along the Front Range.

But this weekend is about more than just adventure. It’s about spending quality time with your family, your children, your friends, and our creator.

We'll enjoy chuck wagon dinners in the dining hall, laugh together at evening sessions, dance under the stars, and have a rodeo in the corral.

This is a chance to create lasting memories with your family and build new friendships in a location that will take your breath away.

Trail West Lodge

Trail West Lodge is located about two hours southwest from Denver and about two hours from Colorado Springs. You can fly into either airport or take an unforgettable family road trip! One thing is for sure - there is no getting to Buena Vista, Colorado without stunning views of the Rockies.

Trail West Lodge
18800 Trail W Drive
Buena Vista, CO 81211

Once you arrive at Trail West, your family will be situated in a safe, excluded village unto itself with nothing but breathtaking views of the mountains towering above you and the never-ending valleys extending below. This is a place you can run wild and free and create life-long memories as a family.

Fun on the Frontier

Your family will get to experience the entire property, play games, go swimming, enjoy the ropes course, and whatever else you'd like to do! But we also want to be intentional with our time together.

We'll share meals in the dining hall and come together for family sessions, Saturday morning activities, and evening gatherings in the lodge. This is a chance to connect with your kids and other families in a place that will take your breath away and allow you to make unforgettable memories.

Here are some of the activities we’ll enjoy together:

  • Frisbee golf, ropes course, and zip line
  • Pool and hot tub with a spectacular view
  • Evening movies and entertainment
  • Basketball, volleyball, and tennis
  • Game room and fitness center
  • Hiking trails and BB gun range
  • Gift shop, coffee & tea bar, and snack bar
  • Giant children's fort and playgrounds
  • Horse rides in the corral

Family Round-Ups

Throughout the weekend, we'll come together as families for special sessions in the theater. We'll sing fun songs, play games, tell stories, and then send out the children for 20 minutes so mama and papa can have a moment to be celebrated and encouraged as parents.

Ben & Ainsley, the founders of Wild + Free, will host each session along with our dear friends Aubrey & Jen McGowan. We always take this brief time to get real about parenthood, homeschooling, and marriage.

Note: The content during Family Camp includes personal stories that reflect the Christian faith of the Arments. We understand that this weekend might not be for everyone, but anyone is certainly welcome. Our hope is that you'll appreciate the authentic approach, no matter where you're at.
